{"id":12735,"date":"2020-02-08T13:40:12","date_gmt":"2020-02-08T13:40:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/verwoodtoday.co.uk\/?p=12735"},"modified":"2020-02-08T13:41:12","modified_gmt":"2020-02-08T13:41:12","slug":"woman-in-sixpenny-handley-collision-has-died","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/martin.mx\/verwood\/2020\/02\/woman-in-sixpenny-handley-collision-has-died\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman in Sixpenny Handley collision has died"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A woman who sustained life-threatening injuries during a collision in Sixpenny Handley has very sadly died.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/martin.mx\/verwood\/2020\/02\/b3081-closed-after-traffic-collision-in-sixpenny-handley\/\">collision<\/a> happened at around 6pm on Saturday 1 February 2020 on the B3081 about 300m south of the Sixpenny Handley roundabout and involved a red VW Up BlueMotion, a black Audi A3 and a green Isuzu Pick-up.<\/p>\n<p>The VW driver, a 37-year-old woman from Ringwood, was taken to Southampton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. She very sadly died on the morning of Friday 7 February 2020. Her family has been informed.<\/p>\n<p>The male passenger in the VW sustained serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The occupants of the Audi, one adult and two children, had minor injuries and the male driver of the Isuzu also sustained minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Police Sergeant Nikki Burt, of the traffic unit, said: \u201cOur thoughts are with the woman\u2019s family and friends at this very difficult time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am continuing to investigate this collision and would appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision and any motorists who have relevant dashcam footage to please come forward.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A woman who sustained life-threatening injuries during a collision in Sixpenny Handley has very sadly died.
