Emergency services have attended an incident in Verwood on Friday afternoon where at least two people were injured.<\/p>\n
Residents witnessed multiple Police cars and officers attended along with the Ambulance service. <\/p>\n
Police say a man sustained injuries whilst a woman was reportedly assaulted and sustained a cut to her nose.<\/p>\n
The incident happened around Pennine Way following an apparent disturbance in a local public house.<\/p>\n
A Dorset Police spokesman said: \u201cWe received a report at 4.33pm of a disturbance in Pennine Way in Verwood. It was reported that a man had sustained injuries.<\/p>\n
\u201cOfficers attended, along with the ambulance service and the injured man is receiving treatment for his injuries. We do not have an update on his condition at this time.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was further reported that a woman was assaulted and sustained a cut to her nose.<\/p>\n
\u201cOfficers have been carrying out searches of the area and a man was arrested on suspicion of assault in the area of Newtown Road.<\/p>\n
