{"id":46939,"date":"2022-12-13T12:26:30","date_gmt":"2022-12-13T12:26:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/verwoodtoday.co.uk\/?p=46939"},"modified":"2022-12-13T12:26:30","modified_gmt":"2022-12-13T12:26:30","slug":"lorry-gives-teenager-broken-nose-whilst-waiting-at-a-pedestrian-crossing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/martin.mx\/verwood\/2022\/12\/lorry-gives-teenager-broken-nose-whilst-waiting-at-a-pedestrian-crossing\/","title":{"rendered":"Lorry gives teenager broken nose whilst waiting at a pedestrian crossing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A teenager sustained a broken nose after being struck in the face by the wing mirror of a passing lorry.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The incident happened at around 3.30pm on Tuesday 6 December 2022 at the pedestrian crossing on Stone Lane, near to the junction with Knobcrook Road in Wimborne.<\/p>\n<p>It was reported that the vehicle involved \u2013 described as a white, rigid-body flatbed lorry \u2013 did not stop at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Police Constable Matt Shewbridge, of Dorset Police, said: \u201cWe are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would also urge anyone who was driving in the area to check any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that might help our investigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFinally, I understand several members of the public came to the aid of the injured boy following the collision.
