A woman in her 40s was taken to hospital after a collision in West Moors on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Dorset Police received a report at 3.34pm on Thursday 25 May 2023 of a single vehicle collision involving a white Vauxhall Corsa on Station Road, near to the junction with Newman\u2019s Lane.<\/p>\n
Emergency services attended and the fire service assisted in removing the single female occupant of the car from the vehicle.<\/p>\n
The woman, aged in her 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. Her next of kin has been informed.<\/p>\n
Road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond to the incident and for an examination of the scene to be carried out.<\/p>\n
Police Constable Kier Dagnall, of the traffic unit, said: \u201cWe are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to please contact us.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn particular I understand there was a boy in school uniform at the scene who may have witnessed what happened and I am keen to identify this boy so we can speak to him about what he saw.<\/p>\n
\u201cFinally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.\u201d<\/p>\n
