The Verwood Hub hosted 19 teams in the latest charity quiz this week raising \u00a3800 for Mencap.<\/p>\n

Money was made up of the entrance fee, donations on the night and a charity raffle.<\/p>\n

Prizes were donated by local businesses including Aroma Cafes, Champion Barbers, Costa Coffee, J P Morgan, Morrisons Plc, Olive & Oak Wine Bar and The Verwood Hub.<\/p>\n

Sarah Griffiths, who organised the quiz told VerwoodToday: \u201cMenCap is a charity we as a family support. My nephew has Kabuki Syndrome and MenCap is an organisation that helps people like him to live a more independent and fulfilled life. <\/p>\n

“My niece ran in the London Marathon last weekend and we will be adding tonight\u2019s funds to her overall total.<\/p>\n

“Another quiz night will be held again in the future, and anyone is welcome to attend and join in the fun.”<\/p>\n
