Verwood Choral Society held a recent concert evening to raise money for the Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital via the McMillan Caring at Home charity.<\/p>\n

The charity was chosen by members of the choir and a total of \u00a3750.00 was raised for this very worth cause. <\/p>\n

The event, on Saturday the 25th of May, featured songs from Phantom of the Opera, Abba, Les Misables among other popular music. <\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the group said: “If you love singing and are interested in joining our friendly group, while raising money for local causes, why not try our choir. It is a great way of meeting new people of all ages, make friends and, the bonus is there are no auditions. We rehearse on Monday evenings between 7.00pm \u2013 8.30pm at St Michael\u2019s Church, Verwood.<\/p>\n
